Melody Ayshay is a photographer and mixed media artist based in Washington, DC. She believes in the beauty and intimacy of everyday life and her work focus on capturing the intimate details of relationships and experiences through storytelling. She pulls inspiration from not only everyday living, but her work in public health and health equity, as well as her southern roots and love of being black. Her professional work focuses on her passion to integrate health equity and policy in public health programs and improve health outcomes of marginalized communities, particularly black women and girls.
